Peter Wood: Explorer of the Impossible shares amazing objects and hilarious comedy (occasionally assisted by his brother, Matt). Kids and parents enjoy this interactive magic show!

HOGWAY SPEEDWAY RACING PIGS
DAILY: NooN, 3PM, 6PM, 8PM
Root for your favorite pig at the Hogway Speedway! Will the winner be Oinkhardt, Jr. , or Hamika Patrick, or another speedy porker? In addition to pigs, there are racing goats and racing ducks, too! Fun for the whole family!

CHAINSAW CARVING BY PAUL
EVERY DAY ... THROUGHOUT THE DAY!
Paul Waclo’s expertise with design and production in various forms has led to his creative adventure involving roaring horsepower and clouds of flying sawdust! After watching professional chainsaw carving in 2012, he knew this unusual art form was something he would enjoy. He proved to be a natural at translating images into 3 dimensions from a large pieces of wood. His speed, technique, and detail combine as he creates his intricate designs. Paul’s talent has taken him around the United States and Europe to realize every log or tree stump has the potential for an exciting new subject hiding inside waiting to be released. Enjoy watching Paul Waclo create a variety of amazing, chainsaw carvings throughout fair week!

SHEEP DOG DEMONSTRATIONS
MON (8/5), TUES (8/6), and THURS (8/8): 5:00pm and 7:00 PM
Watch, listen, and learn about the unique partnership between the handler and working sheep dogs. Their skills and talents will be put to the test as they work together to herd sheep around the arena and through various obstacles. These demonstrations will be accompanied by commentary.

SQUARE DANCING DEMO AND DANCE

A fun square dancing demo by the Tom Thumb Dance Club. 5:00 pm on the Entertainment Stage, and 7:00 pm in the 4-H Activities Hall.

The Skid Loader Rodeo Competition has returned to our entertainment lineup! Come on out and cheer on skid loader operators as they put their operating skills to the test. Competitors will be timed and judged as they navigate skid loaders through an obstacle course.

Appaloosa (Oldies)
Monday, August 5, 2019 — 7:30PM and 9:00pm
Appaloosa was formed in early 1971 with an original vision of a full vocal band with steady playing of songs during their performance all the while pleasing the crowd with their party atmosphere. The current line-up is Gordon Holder on lead guitar, Tony Cesenaro on bass, Mike Flaherty (original member) on drums, Ed Knuckey lead vocalist and Chuck Ansell (original member) on keyboards.

The Rock & Roll Relics
Tuesday, August 6, 2019 — 7:30PM and 9:00pm
This talented group of musicians concentrates on reproducing the sounds of the songs we grew up with. With all four singing as well, they are able to produce a wide variety of styles from the sweet sound of streetcorner doo-wop, to the exciting '60s sounds of The Beatles, Beach Boys and The Mamas & The Papas.

Howard County Fair Has Talent - talent and variety show
Thursday, August 8, 2019 — 7:00pm
Songs, dancing, comedy acts, instrumental numbers, etc.!
Contestants will be divided by age into three categories: Children 9 yrs. old and under, Youth 10-15 years old, and Teenage/Adult 16 years old and older.
Premium money will be awarded to all competitors!

To attend this event, spectators will need to pay the General Admission to the Fair and purchase a Demolition Derby ticket for admittance into the Contest Arena.
Demolition Derby Tickets (The price of General Admission to the Fair is not included):
$10.00 - Adults (10 and up)
$5.00 - Children (Ages 4-9 yrs.)
Free - Children (Ages 3 yrs. & under) - Must sit on lap
